Over recent decades, Bazaars as economic and social centers of cities have faced notable changes due to modern urbanism in Iran. In most cases, nowadays streets have recessed some parts of bazaars by cutting the mainstream of bazaars, which causes many problems such as destructions in these zones and moving of commercial activities from bazaars to the streets borders. Moreover, bazaars have not responded appropriately to the emergence of vehicles which causes considerable disorders in these areas. Excessive Presence of vehicles such as trucks, motorcycles, personal cars, etc. in bazaar areas lessens social and cultural role of bazaars and instead emphasized on activities such as trading and load delivery.

I this project, firstly structural and formal transformations of bazaars and the factors which influence on these transformations have been analyzed meticulously by the means of comparing the maps, surveys and related documents. Afterward bazaar of Tehran, as one of the most critical bazaars in Iran, has been scrutinized. Bazaar of Tehran where used to be one of the most important economic centers of Iran, have faced plenty of problems and lost its economic boom after emergence of modern urbanism.

At the end a solution as a new entrance for the bazaar of Tehran which connects the bazaar to the modern city of Tehran appropriately has been proposed. In order that nowadays activities of bazaar of Tehran have been recognized and the interferences in these activities have been organized so that the bazaar of Tehran revitalizes its social role beside the economic role in the city.
