Makran, a semi-desert coastal strip in Balochistan, has caught attention of developers and investors due to its extraordinary geopolitical situation. Hence,in December 2017, Sistan & Balouchestan Ports and Maritime Administration has held International Festival of ‘Makran; Unlimited treasure’, which included two main competition. One of these two competition subject was to design a low cost house unit which reacts sufficiently to tough climate condition of Makran.

Has risen by the Piloti, this proposed house unit is divided to two open and closed space vertically. The open space which is created at ground level not only reacts sufficiently to tough environmental climate condition but also provides users a flexible semipublic space. Interior space of the house is considered as flexible as possible. The sliding wooden partitions can create different types of room. In addition the accordion windows can thoroughly relate the inside an outside. Since the natives use roofs of their house so frequently during nights, the roof of this house unit is designed in a way to fulfill this demand.
