Alvan superMarket renovation go back to all projects

  • design process:

A furniture store that was famous in the previous years was going to change its use and become a supermarket, due to the economic inflation of Iran and also due to the renovation of the neighboring buildings. Since the height of the existing ground floor was very short, during the design process, we decided to merge the first floor with the second one, so that the height of the new ground floor would be sufficient.

Considering that it was necessary to locate the stairs in the new design, and due to the different use of the ground floor and the first floor, the staircase should be placed near the entrance. according to the limitations of the existing structure, it was implemented as a light metal structure in the form of a round staircase.

In design process we decided to see that staircase in a hidden form in the facade the surface of the facade was completely covered with glass. becouse in the previous useage (furniture store) needed a lot of glass to let people see goods in the showcase. but the new useage needed the project to introduce itself in the form of a landmark in the city, so we used louvres to cover the windows . then we combine these louvres with the stairs. the final form was a mixture of these two .
