About This Project:
This project was an effort to design a City Hall in a way that reflects the atmosphere and essence of Tehran, Iran.
City Hall: A Link Between the People and City Officials
The literal meaning of City Hall often causes confusion, leading some to think of it as a space for cultural activities (like the Vahdat Hall in Tehran). In reality, City Hall refers to the system of city governance and its related services.Although three terms of council activities have passed in the country, councils still lack effective, appropriate, and worthy spaces, causing problems for urban managers and citizens. Given their status and role in our country, councils now need a suitable physical symbol—one that reflects their importance and symbolizes public participation in city affairs. These structures should serve as urban symbols with modern, identity-rich architecture, creating a strong connection with the historical and cultural context of the Iranian city while meeting contemporary human needs.
