  • About this Facade Design Project:

Each design project is shaped by its unique context. The Supa Company facade design project, located at Poursina Square, is a historical site near the city's oldest hospital, which has a 100-year history presented a rich historical narrative.

The client's desire, was to create a distinctive and modern facade. The client sought a distinctive and modern facade that would complement the building's prominent location.

We began the design process by referencing the history of the neighborhood and the building's location, considering this unique context.

The main challenge of the project, given the building's corner location and views from main and secondary roads, was controlling sightlines and privacy. Addressing the challenge of controlling sightlines from various angles, we conceived the facade as a unified skin, drawing inspiration from the historic three-part arch at the site's entrance.

This motif was repeated and scaled to create visual interest and define key spaces. The addition of vegetation enhanced the occupants' view and provided a dynamic facade. Given the existing structure, a lightweight, vertical composite cladding system was employed to contrast with the horizontal aluminum profiles, offering a contemporary aesthetic.
